A redesign is just around the corner. Forum Stats so far: 5,184 Threads 52,495 Posts 4,448 Members
Looking forward to the re-skinning. So far it's the default, not at all enticing. Anyway, 50 k posts is not bad at all, good job on that
Agree with dojo, a new skin would make a huge difference. Also if you were to make the guest registration message stand out a little more that would also be helpful IMO. You may also want to differentiate your guest registration message so that it doesn't sound as cookie cutter or default as every other board out there. Maybe have a list of reasons specific to your community why they should join rather than the default stuff of you may not be able to post until you do, etc, etc.
Wha? Originally, this Guest Registration notice was inspired by COD4Boards, that I used it on CODForums. I modifed the message to work with the niche or site in question. I also added a bit of my own touch, "Greetings Spartan!" or "Greetings Devil!" to communicate with the fan.
Yeah your opening is fine, I just meant maybe adding some more reasons that are specific to your community that would entice a guest to register rather than saying that registering will allow them to create threads or replies. Something like being able to discuss strategy, walkthroughs, tips, etc -- stuff specific to your community and the main reasons someone would be at your page in the first place.
Halo 4 launch was a fail. Next time, we'll be ready. I'm going to be on the hunt for a Halo 4 forum to merge with this.
So gather things have gone that well with your Halo 4 forum since the game came out then. Would you not be better running one forum covering multiple games, rather than it being dedicated to just Halo 4. Most successful large gaming forums I see, that's how they do it covering multiple top rated games with one board.
I think General Halo is better than "Halo 4 Forum." But those forums have more members, more traffic, and end up on the highest point in google due to keywords. Once Halo 5 rolls around, we'll bank on the Halo 5 keyword heavily. But like I said, I will try to acquire some Halo 4 forums to merge into EH to increase Halo 4 discussions.
Too many halo forums to work with. TheHaloForum.com HaloCouncil.com/community/ BigTeamBattle.net Halo4nation.com HaloForum.eu iPlayHalo.com FraggingRights.com etc. You can easily find a site to merge with.
