I just found out this little tidbit..

If you own a vB 3.x/vB4.x Forum only license and upgrade to vB 5, you will end up with vB 4 Suite
Not something to be overly excited about but yea it is something positive. ;)

Yer, I was thinking about it. I own the Forum Only licence. But I look at it as its $30 more for a new licence, why not just buy that?

yea I see your point there, but I have a 3.x forum only that's brand free. So I may decide to update that if I get vB 5

I think if everyone gave it 6 months or something like that it will be strong. I was going to upgrade. Still deciding, as I want to start my bird forum.

vBulletin to me has lost it's shine and died with vBulletin 3.8. The horrific release of vBulletin 4 just killed it. 3.8 was the last acceptable version IMHO. I have little to no faith in vBulletin 5 and I'm glad I made the switch over to Xenforo to be quite honest.

For me, vB5 has to be totally different. I never liked the update to vB4, it just seemed like something that was scripted over the previous script. While that isn't always a bad thing, in this case, I thought it was. They really need something different in vB5 if they want people to come back to it.

Just seen the vB site, maybe I'm changing my mind over this, it does look pretty good.
