Security through obscurity is really no security at all but I do change the admincp & modcp directory names after I'm done setting up the board and installing all the mods, etc. It just makes me feel better that it's not at the default.

    Do you?

I've never done this but have had clients ask me to set this up for them. I think a htaccess popup works just fine for me.

I Have only used vBulletin and XenForo as forum software for my serious project and the vb days I always changed the name of them but I haven't done anything to increase the security on my xf board.

I think I've done this once or twice. I'll hate to keep repeating the process every time I'm upgrading my script.
    I prefer password protect ( Via htaccess ) my Admin/Mod CP, ;)

I have done it once, I haven't setup a password protect, probably would be a good idea though.
