What Happened to Helpful Posts?

I loved that mod it's like post thanks... A way of acknowledging post without having to post 'thanks', 'that's funny', etc.

I'd rather have the post thanks hack but if not do you think we could get helpful posts back up and running? :fingers-crossed:

 

It was removed because there was a little reputation abuse, we could turn it on without the reputation interaction..
although I like the thanks mod better because it'll say how many "thanks" you got and put out.. is there a version for 4.x yet?

Yeah, that was actually kind of fun. The thanks mod sounds like a good idea! I understand what you mean about the reputation abuse, and agree that maybe it's not the best idea to have this connected reputation. The thanks mod sounds like the way to go.

 

Post Thanks it's cool, I'm 99.9% sure there's vB4 version out. Abe (the dev) is a pretty good dude.

With the thanks hack you can have it connected to rep (1 per thanks, etc) or not.

To be honest, I know it sucks for post count but if I find something interesting, funny, helpful, etc.. I don't always have to type out a post I just like to hit the thanks button or +1 button (helpful posts) to give them props.

 

I moved this out of the supporters section (hope that was okay Dan) and placed in feedback since we've now added the thanks mod.
I have the PSD for this style, I'll get a better looking thanks button unless someone wants to make us one before I get to it
