A few weeks ago I had trouble with my site. It appeared someone had hacked it, as 4 years worth of post and articles and all my pages just disappeared.

I was lost as to trying to figure out what happened so my host investigated it...and came to the conclusion that my post table had crashed, and they reset it for me and everything re-appeared. But, it continued to do this over the next couple of days.

My host suggested that I was in a bad need of optimization...and Brandon confirmed this BTW..

But before I contacted the host from experience when the site went down my first reaction was to remove plugins one at a time to see if this fixed it.

So now I sometimes will use a meta check site to make sure my site is up to snuff (I do change things quite often.)

A couple of days ago I checked it and found no meta information at all...and my site was just showing up on a search engine with just the last article as the site name and description..

So I went into my theme editor and added all the meta tags back - well when I checked my meta tags again - now all was OK...Now the problem begins:

This is a screen shot of a post to twitter from my site before:

Now this is a screen shot from after "I fixed" my meta problem :)

See the difference in the two? This has happened on twitter and facebook both...

Something got removed as now whenever I post a link to an article the link just reads as my Title, but actually links back to the article... and not the front page of the site..

How do I fix it back to the way it was? :dont-know:

I don't get why you wouldn't want it to link to the article itself instead of the home page?

Maybe I explained it wrong...It continued to link to the article all along...but whatever I had changed by accident - changed the link title to just the site title.

I evidently fixed it now, because the link title on a new post today reads correctly.

So you changed something (Meta info) and then everything was re-indexed not the way you want right? LOL Dont touch it if it aint broke :P But good to see you got it fixed. You should always optimize and repair your tables every now and then. Less headaches
