Updated forums index and layout changes...

Hey humans,

I just did a little minor surgery on the forum index to add a few new areas to our site, and neaten and tidy up a few things.

I began moving many existing threads into these new areas, but I'm by no means finished. I have thousands of posts to move into the new Life forums still, and will be doing that slowly over the coming days... If something appears to be missing, we assure you it's just been moved into more specific areas...

This was basically "phase 1" of planned changes on the site. We'll be merging a small site into ours that has some additional health and life content into our site as "phase 2". In "phase 3" I'll be doing more significant changes on the site, such as new features and functionality all over the place. This will coincide with the release of vB 3.7 to release candidate stage. Wait until you see some of this stuff.

Lastly, we're also working on two additional color choices to our two designs as well. They will be of the darker variety, but use the same graphics.

Once these changes are complete, we'll be e-mailing all past and present members of our site to welcome them back home, in the hopes that we can get to know some of those we've lost touch with over the past 8 years.

Just another item of note: New category or forum titles are still in flux. While the layout should remain the same, we'll be renaming some areas to be something a little more attractive. :tongue:

 

might i suggest "Life as we know it" for Lifestyles?

If any of you have any more brainstorms on category or forum names please don't hesitate to let us know. I like to stick cool space or science names before or after the forum name and such when possible.

 

Why don't you give us the master list of new forums, and we'll see if we can come up with anything
