So, how long did your community take to reach its first 1,000 posts?

How about 100 members? Did it take you a few months to reach these goals? Or a couple days?

On my last forum what I closed, I reached 1,000 posts in about 5 days but didn't read 100 members.

GamerBB reached 1,000 post in like 4-5 days. Not sure how long it took to get 100 members though. I would say about a month and a half.

What helped you get 1,000 posts in such a short period of time?
@Savvy Very nice - were you actively marketing your community during this period?

We reached 1000 posts in 5 days. And here is the archived announcement for that http://admin-talk.com/threads/goal-1000-posts-completed.147/ (Old)
We reached 100 members in about 11 days after opening. I remember those days, great memories :)

Very Nice work, I think of memory serves me right, it took EA about a month to hit 1,000+ posts, but that was a long long time ago, so don't hold me on that

Most definitely. I've been actively marketing my community since April 9th, 2011 which is when it opened. :P

My forum opened in January--we hit 1,000 posts somewhere at the end of March and 100 members on April 10.

About 20 hours. I made sure I had 10-15 posters as soon as I opened.
100 member took maybe 2 days.

I remember with the forum I was owning a couple of months ago and the forum I owned a few years ago it was roughly the same amount of time to gain 100 members and 1,000 posts which was around 2 - 3 months.

Your forum has been growing at a pretty rapid rate. Everytime I visit there are major changes in the stats
Well thats a decent amount of time it took to reach the 1,000 post milestone.

We'll get there very soon. It's not a tough milestone to reach, then after that, go for 50k posts which is even larger, and would take more time.

For 1,000 posts it took me like 4 days. I still haven't reached 100 members yet lol! We have a very high member post counts.

We reached 1,000 posts in 3-4 days, 7 days after opening we are on 2,000+ posts. As for members, we seem to be stuck on 68 members hah!

Great work - were you running a contest or anything to help boast your stats or was it strictly organic?

I think we got 1000 posts before we even opened. I had a few friends on the board stimulating conversation before I started advertising it.
