Things are going well :) I have so many more freedoms on the paid host than I did before... It was like being born again. Seriously, it was crazy how much the free host restricted abilities. My members are happier as I can customize things more, so I'm happy too ^^

That's the most awesome thing about paid hosting; you can do things the way YOU want them to be done, and you don't have to hear the refrain of, "while I think your suggestion is a good one, it will not be implemented as it won't be benefited by all the sites that are hosted with us". Ever since I went to Pluto Hosting back in August, I have never looked back. I love how I don't have to run to the support forum every blessed time a member suggests something or when I want something to be added. I'd never go back to free hosting for anything.

I haven't been foruming long. Maybe 4 years tops. And out of those 4 years, I've attempted at 4 forums. 1 died, 1 is trying to come back to life, 1 is being made, and 1 is up and running.
I hope for luck in the latter 2.

Maybe you should try to run 1 instead of 3? So that your time wont have to be divided among forums and you can give all your time and work into one forum, and most likely it will do great.

I did some research on FP and from the results I've found that my very first forum was a Backstreet Boys fan forum called I Want It That Way, which was hosted on Forumotion. Not much of a success as Forumotion was a crappier host then than they are now.

Well, that's true. I mean, look at how many forums get hacked over the summer?? I mean, really, if they would just update their security measures, no one would be having these problems... but NO...they have to waste time on stupid, pointless updates that are of no use to anyone hardly!

I am in the process of making my 4th forum. My last 2 were fairly successful, but I closed them due to a prolonged activity slump. Hopefulu this one lasts a few years.

I have only had one forum and that was one about football (soccer). I have thought about running forums on other subjects but my experience running my football forum has firmly put me off.

Well it can depend on your niche, if you try running a forum in another niche that interests you it may help.

I've had three forums but I no longer actively moderate them. I've build up the community and then handed the power of administration over to members. Members contribute to the hosting costs and so I just need to make sure the forum remains online.
