Watch yourself. Doing that is a great way to get banned lightning fast. Yes, I play paintball. Still a comparative beginner, but I'm pretty good among the group I play with. We play both indoor and outdoor. I found outdoor a lot more strenous because of the terrain changes, but indoor is a much faster pace. I love playing paintball. I was hooked after the first time, although most of my family doesn't understand my enjoyment of the sport considering I always come home with bruises that last for 2 weeks.
Ive only played a few times, but I absolutly love playing. I wish I knew more people who I could play with. Its an expensive hobby, but I would love to play frequently.
It's a VERY expensive hobby. My equipment is entry-level stuff, and it cost me over $500 for the gun, barrel upgrade, mask and accessories. Bare minimum for decent equipment will run you $250 to get started. And each outing typically runs about $100, since you have to pay for admission, and then paint. The paint they sell at the fields is a total ripoff, but since you have to buy their paint, you really don't have much of a choice. The first time you play, rental equipment should be sufficient, but if you plan on playing more than once, you'll want your own equipment. The first time I played, I spent more time getting my rental gun fixed than I spent actually playing. And the mask was horrible... kept fogging up, so that when I actually had a usuable gun, I could barely see anything. As bad as the equipment made things, it was still a lot of fun to play, and once I got my own equipment, it made it that much better.
The first time I went I went to an actual field, and rented equipment etc. The next time I borrowed a friends gun and we went with 8 people into the back woods and raised hell. That was an absolutly a blast. Just make up a game and go at it, nothing like 6 on 2 assult, see if you can storm a very heavily fortified position defended by the best 2 players. I think I used 1500 rounds.
