I love that about it. They are very good, Not the cleanest but they have alot of good ideas for the software they just need to improve it. Everytime I have used the software it seems to get more members commenting on it than other forums does.

phpBB is good, but they certainly need some improvement and Im sure they are working on it. I will say though to the fanboys.. phpBB is not the best.

1.0.0? Wow, you've been working with this since day 1 practically! No wonder you're so good with mods and the technical end of things. Way to go, Rich!

Of course you can, but still doesn't change the fact that its complicated while other solutions such as MyBB have it much easier.

Yeah..... MyBB is easier than phpBB, and i like it too, i used to have it as forum software, but i always loved phpBB design. It look profissional and better for game-servers forum.

I have seen great themes for both of the software. But it all depends on what you prefer. Back on topic: Your phpBB experience?

I find the admin panel confusing, I'm always asking for help :( It is probably just hard at first but then you get use to it.

I like it because it is free. also widely available for good themes. so far I still found difficulties in modification. when I want to add chat box and ads. also a bit difficult in the update. meaby because i'm still learning.

When I started, phpbb2 was the big thing. THEN phpbb3 came out and it was sooo amazing with its ability to add sub-forums.

I'm kind of indifferent about phpBB. While it had a big part to play in shaping the current crop of software, I've never been a major fan of it as either a user or administrator.

I dont mind being a member on a phpbb forum, but I sure would not use phpBB again as my choice of software on any forum. I would rather use MyBB, a better competitor.

I'm getting so frustrated with installing things using phpBB, To some it's easy, but not me... some time the directions or not corrected, or what your looking for is not there... if PC wasn't around... I wouldn't be using phpBB...

Well if it really is that frustrating (Which it is) why not convert over to a MyBB?
