Ever since I bought XenForo, I've been liking it more and more. IPB is also pretty good :)

I almost clicked IPB but Xenforo has really caught my interest lately but IPB is extremely close behind :)

Yea XenForo is really up there, IPB is kinda overated because of vB doing so bad, IPB could use some improvements.

XenForo, with IPB close behind. They're both very impressive.

I find XenForo to be the best paid software even though vBulletin and IPB are much more developed. IPB is a close second but the thing I don't like about IPB is that it can become very difficult to manage and keep clean (organization, mods, etc) versus XenForo is very easy.

If you think about it IPB is very overrated. Why? Since vB is doing poorly people had to make IPB great, but if you really think about it IPB lacks some important features such as a Rich Text Editor.

I think it overrated too but not by too much. It's still a great software and the admin cp is wonderful too. There's just some tweaking that's needed like you said especially with the Templates and modifications. The main thing that bugged me about IPB is how the mods would conflict with each other.

If I could, I would go for IPB. I like how it's easy to use, there are some great plugins for it, and the layout looks fairly nice as well. Definitely IPB. If I had to do Vbulletin, I'd go for one of the older versions like 3.8.6 or whatever the last one of the 3.x series was. 4.0.x just gets way too much bad publicity all of a sudden. As for Xenforo, I like it, but like SMF, that's another one I feel iffy about. I love the layout and how organized everything looks, but I remember someone gave us a test link on another forum once, I tried it and I just could not get the hang of the ACP at all. So it would either be IPB or one of the older versions of Vbulletin if I could afford it.

The XenForo ACP is actually much more simple than the phpBB ACP. It can be confusing for you around the first time, but once you're use to it, its real easy.

I'm going to have to say XenForo just because how simple it is to use and the look of it. It's very nice and is an outstanding piece of software.

IP.Board. It's more powerful in my opinion.
vB is bloated, and I hate the ACP, just to be honest.
XenForo, though I haven't tried it, I think it's got to be rather heavy on a server, with all this AJAX and JS stuff going on.

Nope not all, you haven't used it so you wouldn't know. I thought the same thing as well but its actually very light. Its alot more light than vB and IPB believe it or not. And yea vBulletin's ACP is hideous.

Well all I know is that the loading time of pages here and other forums running it isn't as fast as a forum running something else, but that may be just me.

The reason for it being slow here as our hosting is has been having problems so I sent them an email, you can read this thread: http://admin-talk.com/threads/slow.2452/

Alright, maybe it's just that problem, but you would think that XenForo's features would make it slow, if you didn't know how fast it could be.

IMHO leading right now is IPB as the best forum software.
However XenForo is fairly new and by far shows the most potential and looks very, very promising and I predict in the future they will be the leading provider in paid forum software.
I used to be a loyal vBulletin customer and like many decided to switch with the release of vB4 I think they ruined the software and just didn't give a toss what customers thought.
XenForo has got me really excited though some of the staff members are displaying bad attitudes IMO and I hope this doesn't get in the way of a brilliant product.

I agree, Xenforo shows and has the most potential, I already think its the best but thats just me.

And yes I had an vBulletin4 license as well, but I was not to happy with it and I sold it. I prefer vB3, but its outdated.

I noticed some flaws in your forum design, and its very slow because some of the time things dont load properly, maybe that could be why your staff dont like it? It has nothing to do with Xenforo though, Most likely your host.
