I don't use it either, just do normal cpanel backup. That or if I'm using wordpress I normally use a plugin to backup to an email account created for the purpose.

Not at all! I only pay $39 a month to backup an entire server's worth of data nightly offsite. There's a plugin for cPanel which makes it very easy to restore backups. I have not noticed any major resource usage with it either. The best thing about it is the bare metal restore.

That maybe nothing for you, but $39 a month can be alot for others. I find it expensive as well.

I update everyday automatically with zenok online backup. pretty safe to say I don't have to worry about losing files lol. I also use an external Harddrive.

I'm not going to lie but $40 is still a pretty penny.

It all depends on the site that I'm working on but I try to keep it daily if it's active and weekly/monthly if its not to active

It depends on how much activity I have on the forum. For really busy days I back up every day. If I add something to the forum l back up the forum. And at the very least I back up every other day.

Yea I always backup after making changes such as editing templates or installing mods or any other big changes that I wouldn't want to go back and redo if I had to use a an old backup.

That's a great way to do it - also having daily backups through your host will do great wonders - or having an off-site backup source.

You have a good host. I believe mine does this as well. If anyone ever tries a new host, you should ask them to do daily backups as well. I'm sure a lot of them would set it up.

I know is a last year's post but anyway... Being online while doing files backup won't corrupt those files or cause partially downloades files because they may be in use?

    Thank you
