I started mine on Oct 29, 2010 (originally phpBB, now IPB). I just started another one yesterday running on xenForo.

I'd love to share the one I started last year but I'm not quite sure if I can. There is adult content on it but it's structured so that it's work safe. All images are put in spoilers and you'd only run into adult content if you go to adult forums (clearly labeled with [Adult Content]). As for the new one, I'll share it when it isn't just 5 registered members. ;)

The current forum, Argumentz, has been "officially" running for 1 week now. I've had one other major forum, a graphics forum, which I ran for 6-8 months. It was more or less a test forum which got a few active members.

Since March of '09 actually. I created it a year after my first forum closed. That one was started in Feb. (?) 2007, I think.

Yes, I guess so. Time flies. It seems like it's only a year old.

My current boards were started in May and July 2010. Past boards that I've either killed or sold were started as early as 2007.

Its activity is not good for a forum of that age, its better if you turn it in a general discussion forum, thats just a suggestion because not everyone is a futurama fan.

That maybe a lot for you, but adminbb is 5 months old and your site is a full year, and we get about 300-500 posts a day.

That may be, but your topic is a lot more broad. I don't think timestandstill needs to change his forum just for that--if he's happy with his current activity and continues to put work into the community, it'll continue to do well. Just because the Pokemon forum I'm a member of decreased in activity in the last few months didn't make the admin change it into a general video gaming community. :) Just my two cents there.

I have had a lot of fun designing forums but I never actually run them, it's too much effort to try start a new forum and get it going... So now I just find a few good ones and stick with them :P

I see it happen often where a admin just makes site after site, and never gives attention to either one where all end up being a fail. Its best to stick to one and improve it.
