In photoshop, just make sure the background is transparent and when you save it as a gif, the index will be automatically flaged for transparency. In Paint Shop Pro5, go to colors I think and there should be an option to set transparency based on an eyedropper, current BG color or selecting on of the colors in the current palette. I also use LView 1.b which is an old Win 3.1 16-bit program. Newer version are all too GUI dependant and messed up. From there, you go to Retouch->Palette Entry and choose the color. But above all, remember to save it as a Gif-89a, and not an 87-a, since the 89 is newer and supports transparency and animation. ------------------ --Dann Go soak your big fat head-- Attack of the Giant Leeches
