Pixel work is so....

Time consuming? I was pondering on how to create objects for smilies and found creating vectors wasn't cutting it. For this particular task I was creating a smiley holding a megaphone. Anyone else found themselves creating pixel based designs?

It's an area I have not found myself jumping into untill now. Anyone else find this tedious?
