[PC] Graphics Cards Okay so i got MW2 and i can play it fine on low graphics on all but on multiplayer i have lowest res and highest graphics and i can run it fine, but i really want to run the game (MP and SP) @ 1440x900 (native res) with medium/high graphics but i cant because it laggs.. Im on a Dell Vostro 1700 (laptop) is there anyway that i can increase speed or buy parts to upgrade it, i believe that my laptop gfx and that is soldered onto my motherboard which makes it near impossible to upgrade the gfx card which i mainly want to do to something like an 8800M GTX 512mb, i already upgraded my RAM to 4GB and im on a 64bit system (win7), Ive attached my DX Diag if you want to take a look and try and suggest a few thing..If it does come to me like replacing the motherboard or something im probably going to get it done for my bday in march, or even upgrade the CPU to something like 2.2 or higher as im on a 1.8.... Replacing a laptop video card will be hard to replace, if its even possible honestly I don't have a clue. I know my gf's Dell laptop is impossible to upgrade.
most laptops do not let you swap out gfx cards as easily as desktops. its an extra premium to have the option. other option is to be up to date on drivers, but that may be marginal.
I know some guys over at Overclock.net who have modded their laptops and swapped out parts like the graphics cards. Why not go check over there in the laptop/notebook section? You'll find way more expertise on it there.
