Do you protect your forum or website's admin panel directory via .htaccess? I do. It's a much-needed extra layer of security, and everybody should consider implementing it. Here are some websites that should help you: Password protection with .htaccess: http://www.freewebmasterhelp.com/tutorials/htaccess/3 http://www.sitedeveloper.ws/tutorials/htaccess.htm http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/htaccess7.shtml http://www.webmastersguide.com/htacc...s.htm#password
I protect the AdminCP, ModCP, Install and Includes directories with .htaccess. In the directories that have to be web accessible, I always put a blank index.html file and turn off directory indexing if I can. Looking for a better way to obfuscate my wp-content directories on my Wordpress sites.
