.htaccess Protection

Do you protect your forum or website's admin panel directory via .htaccess?

I do. It's a much-needed extra layer of security, and everybody should consider implementing it.

I protect the AdminCP, ModCP, Install and Includes directories with .htaccess.

In the directories that have to be web accessible, I always put a blank index.html file and turn off directory indexing if I can. Looking for a better way to obfuscate my wp-content directories on my Wordpress sites.
