As some of you may have noticed I recently bought this place. I'm familiar with forums in general and run a number of them personally (totaling about 3.7 million posts between them all). Anyway, my current mode of thought is to collapse some of the forums to make individual forums more active (and look more active) - general rule of thumb being it takes more than ~5-10 updated topics per day before something deserves to be split out. Regarding TZ$, I'm thinking to have it based on the number of characters per post, rather than raw postcount, to discourage plain spam and to reward content-full posts. Will have to look it over otherwise, though. Thoughts welcome : )
I like the idea of TZ$ given out based on the number of characters. This would encourage members to make longer and more detailed posts rather than a few words posts.
Hey Vekseid, nice one on becoming the new owner! Just wanted to say best of luck... As for the ideas; Collapsing forums - Like it. Would much rather see less forums if they were more active, way more appealing. Characters in post - Could easily lead to abuse of the system, I don't want to start seeing really pointlessly long posts. Personally, I find it fine at paidperpost, after all it's quality not quantity. See you around the forum. :]
I tried to keep it more hidden but Teekay went and flipped it again. I prefer a hands off aproach to running things. : )

Implemented (somewhat) I'm still rather pressed for time as a rule. Don't want to disrupt things overmuch. hrmz.
