BoonEx - Community Software Experts Looks pretty interesting. Not really a forum per se, but it does have a forum component. At least that is what I gather from the video. Someone posted a link at vb.com so I'm passing this on in case anyone is interested.
I've used Dolphin by Boonex in the past. It's decent, but not very easy to use. I used the 6 series though and they promised the 7 series to be better.
I'm not sure what the Dolphin 7 terms are. I had to pay a branding-free fee because it took away a very obvious logo on the site that didn't look good. But, there were other options that I didn't purchase. The tough part of running a site using that software that is if you are not a programmer or a coder, you have to pay for hacks/mods to the script. That can run you a lot.
If you're looking to setup a social networking site. You can use Ning.com (low cost with lots of features) or I've heard about BuddyPress, etc.
Sounds great, that is sort of the reason Dolphin 7 is of no interest, I'm not terribly interested in setting up a social networking site. I'll leave those things to people that are far younger and much more talkative. ; ) I just thought I'd let people know what I found at vb.com.
