For those that don't know about Commbull, it was pretty much the only solution to send out decent newsletters for quite a while. It was always a decent add-on but had it's quirks. I forget how much it cost but the fee was nominal, I used it on my board for a while but removed it mainly because not every got the newsletter despite the system saying it had been sent. From the email: Hack on vB.org: Commbull (Community Bulletin) 5.1 - vBulletin.org Forum
yes it is, when everyone receives the newsletter. I'm assuming that it works with 3.8.4? If so, I'm going to install and give it a go.
Significant userbase going to vb4 making it obsolete?? Would that be the reason, primarily, for the move? or maybe the support to fix those quirks? Thanks Big D!!
Dunno, but I installed it and sent out my first newsletter. Even added extra text and an image (or three). Worked like a charm. I received a copy myself, and am pretty proud of it.
WOW! I have always admired this modification and always wanted to purchase it... but never did. Now that it's being released free, you can certainly count on me using it. :woohoo:
I would guess he hasnt the time to port it to vb4, so has decided the time is right to make it freely available for those who do.
