Avoid The Need of Refeshing Your Templates/Themes in phpBB3

    Ever made a modification to your boards template and/or theme and wondered why it never showed? Only to be told or remember that you forgot to refresh your template and/or theme, well then here is the solution:

    Go to : ACP > Load Settings and find:

    Recompile stale style components:
    Check for updated style components on filesystem and recompile.

    Set this option to yes, and press submit and never have to worry about having to refresh the styles template/theme again!

    Please Note that this setting does not affect the styles imageset, as these will always have to be refreshed, if you make any changes to the imageset.cfg files for modifications.

    Nice tutorial Ashley.S. im sure alot of people forget to refresh, when there was this simple setting in the ACP.

    Yea, it's usually the most common problem for mods not working

    It should be implemented as default. Dont know why phpbb complicates things.

    apparently phpBB3.1.x will be changing how the template system works, including removing the editors and the refreshing of the components, etc.
