Been away for a while from the admin world and poped in to catch up to find the place very quite indeed and the new owner not logged in for quite some time not looking good for AT at the moment, which is sad as it was a breath of fresh air compared to the "other" place.
I have no idea. Brent was very active for a while and now seems to have gone missing too. I know he has a network of sites and know what it takes to manage them all so I imagine he is busy with them. The others I can't explain.
I'm around as well... this time of year is notoriously slow however. Maybe Brent found a warm sunny beach?
Although it's good for most forums to be quite active with lots of participants, to me there's a big difference between a forum that's mostly dead and a forum that's completely dead. And AT isn't completely dead at this point, fortunately.
First time I have logged in for a while and this place has completely gone quiet, hopefully things change because I did like this site better than the others.
Indeed - AT is quieter than it used to be..... maybe its due to new year, maybe sth else...... quite strange to see owner is gone, I know there are many admins who take care of this forum, but owner is owner and he/she should be here on frequent basis. nethertheless - Im still here....
Maybe the owner will gain some motivation. *keeps fingers crossed* Wish I could edit my post up there. I meant to say 'popped'
If it was going to happen I think it would have by now, he's been on since I started this thread but not deemed it unimportant enough to offer any sort of rely!!!
Sure, I don't like to comment onto forums that are completely dead. However, sometimes, to me anyway, posting comments onto super-busy online forums can be a turnoff because I don't like being just one out of a million people commenting onto a forum.
All the fun people aren't here anymore, that's why its quite. If it isn't because TAZ banned me (which is a very unfortunate turn of event for me), I wouldn't be here much either. Seems like they had moved on when Amazon sold this place. Admin forums thrives on drama, it is just - as we used to say in Chess - a matter of "technique" when to pull and when to lure without becoming overwhelming.
