    Like myself, I love being opened with my members and discussing various things with them. If I wasn't opened, I don't think my community would be as successful as it is today. Being opened allows others to discuss certain things about you and have them feening for more information.

    There's only certain things you should hold back from your members. Such as, your revenue details and some of the things you do in your life.

    So, how do you feel about this? How opened should a forum owner be with his/her members?

    I'm fairly open with them, I let them come up with suggestions, I tell them how the site's going and I give away things like in game account details. But I don't share revenue or my actual offline identity with anyone.

    I keep my personal life out of the forums.
    Forum members don't need to know about my wife, kids, pets, etc.
    They also don't need enough information to become internet stalkers.
    Or worse ...

    I consider my members like a second family(The one I can choose for the most part lol
    )

    I don't mind being open because I encourage them to be open with one another and free to be themselves.
