Well, what a surprise that I saw in my email this morning. Apparently, LiquidWeb is now giving out free bandwidth to all their clients. See this image for more information
k found it at their blog http://www.liquidweb.com/blog/index.php/introducing-free-bandwidth/ looks like it isn't an upgrade but pricing policy change upgrade would be like 10TB quota customers getting 15TB quota now but it's just first 5TB free which I guess is still a big deal for customers using <5TB per month ! 10TB looks expensive though. wow configuring a server from liquidweb has sky high prices E3-1240 16GB 2x 1TB 7200RPM SATA raid 1 10TB Gigabit Uplink WHM/Cpanel US$639/month !!! or US$389/month with the free 5TB bandwidth versus my $99/month E3-1270 16GB 2x1TB 7200RPM SATA raid 1 10TB Gigabit Uplink US$99/month and US$32/month for WHM/Cpanel
from https://www.databasebydesignllc.com/ on special but even normal prices are < US$220/month for US$639/month you can get much better and new Xeon E5-26xx series servers https://www.databasebydesignllc.com/premium_e5_sandy_bridge_dedicated_server_hosting.html i.e. for US$504/month » Processor: Dual Intel Hex (6) Core [SandyBridge-EP] E5-2620 - 2.00GHz(2.50GHz) - 15M Cache - 7.20GT/s » Memory: 32GB 1066MHz DDR Quad Channel Registered Memory » First Hard Drive: 1000GB - SATAII - 7.2K RPM - 3Gbps - 32MB Cache - Enterprise Class » Second Hard Drive: 1000GB - SATAII - 7.2K RPM - 3Gbps - 32MB Cache - Enterprise Class » Third Hard Drive: 1000GB - SATAII - 7.2K RPM - 3Gbps - 32MB Cache - Enterprise Class - $20.00 USD » Forth Hard Drive: 1000GB - SATAII - 7.2K RPM - 3Gbps - 32MB Cache - Enterprise Class - $20.00 USD » RAID Configuration: Hardware RAID-10 /w 1GB Cache & Cache Protect (BBU) Hardware RAID-10 (4 disks) - $100.00 USD » Public Network Port Speed: 1Gbps Network Port » Private Network Port Speed: No Private Network Port » Bandwidth: Premium Network - 10000GB (10TB) - $0.15/GB overage » Operating System: CentOS 64bit » MSSQL Server: No MSSQL » IP Addresses (IPv4): 1 Public IP Address (/30) » IP Addresses (IPv6): No IPv6 Network Block » Server Mgmt: Self Managed » Backup: No Backup » Webhosting Software: WHM/cPanel (Linux CentOS Only) - $35.00 USD » Remote Access IPMI: Remote Access Card /w IPKVM, Remote Reboot & Virtual Media (Remote OS Reload) Note, web host is unmanaged provider so need to know your way around a server
Liquidweb sounds like a complete scam to me. Those prices are pretty high for 15TB's worth of space. That includes a server that costs your rented house to configure. Nah I'm better off with the plan that I am on over at http://www.cloudaccess.net which is $19.95 a month for unlimited usage of their services.
Yeah but I am not talking storage space George. I am talking about bandwidth. A forum that I used to post on who has recently moved from vBulletin to Xenforo had a hell of a lot of bandwidth issues. Everytime you posted up a youtube video or a gif the site would get error messages.
