Well, I've never had any problems with using PostLoop to help grow my community or others, but it seems like one forum owner isn't happy with the service and went ahead and called the service a "Scam".

So, how do you feel about this forum owner's comments? Do you disagree with them?

    lol

It's funny because the members that can't reach those guidelines are spammers. Postloop has been more then worth my time, if postloop wasn't around my forum wouldn't be where it is today. I'd be stuck with doing normal post exchanges, and my forum would be growing at a much slower pace.

I've always considered using them when my sites needs a boost of activity. However, you gotta be careful, as members can go in and write anything and get the points. I would think that you could get the points back if they do not create good content. :)

Postloop is a great service, but I will admit that the staff or whoever is in charge of the ratings is rather childish. I always had a 5.0 rating of perfect or whatever perfect is and then I started getting rated low by people who I blocked from my site because they spammed. So, I sent an email to them and got some lame almost boxed response about how I should post better. And I believe that is the last time I used the service. Anyone who knows me would happily welcome me to their forum as a poster because I always post rather long content happy posts. And that really did bother me that they would allow people to degrade your account that way when those people were the ones doing something wrong

Payment proof from ages ago ..Though. they could have payed the fees @Mikey LOL

I don't get it. Whoever wrote that review about Postloop first claims to be a forum owner but he's complaining about the 10 posts only writers have to make. How's making 10 posts to be reviewed part of a scam? They'd be a scam if they didn't pay their writers or deducted points from owners for no reason.

I've been using Postloop both as a writer and a forum owner for a while, and I think it's an amazing site.

I also find it a great service. It is by no means perfect and can't help everyone, but certainly worth giving a shot.

As for ratings - well forum owners are responsible for rating people who post. I agree, there can be unfair ratings from anonymous forum owners who don't even want to comment on a low rating. But that is the system and one needs to adapt to it or stop using it.

No. What the guy was saying was that if those 10 posts don't live up to the exact expectations that are set, then they're declined. In this case, it sounds like the guy made his 10 posts and probably talked about his site more than once, etc, and Ryan declined him by telling him that he doesn't approve spammers. This guy flipped out and is now calling it a scam because he got offended and doesn't agree with the rules.

My gripe is as stated and here is the proof. Two anonymous owners gave me poor ratings without a reason. And then there is no way to find out who or why. I disagreed with this. So, I contacted post loop and got a canned response about making better posts. I mean obviously I do not use the service much at the moment, but it is the principle. I strive to do everything better than most, because it was how I was raised. Anyway I think the system should have a way to disupte the low ratings and have them removed. I just commented on both saying the same thing pretty much LOL... And to be honest I dont know if I have even logged into postloop in the month of Feburary. I was moving at the begining of the year and was offline for a bit.. But as I said other than that great service and site :)

Oh! I keep misreading things in the morning. Not a good time to post!

In that case, he still sounds like a momma's boy bitching about not being approved. As webmasters, I think we can all tell when someone's spamming.

I've used them in the past but never as a poster only as a forum owner buying posts and I was really happy with the service. I pumped a decent amount of cash to get a sports site going over a three month period and on top of that went with a aggressive paid advertising program through other channels. It helped me in getting the site off the ground and eventually sell it for a solid price. It's a great service if you use it along with another traffic stream as it gives you a ton of activity which is a draw for non PPP members.

Like any service you get from it what you put into it and it sounds like that forum owner wanted to spam with it. The owner is fairly rigid with his application of the rules but they are his rules and it's his service so if you can't meet those requirements it can be frustrating but it's fair.

I don't have an opinion on the service one way or the other, it has a purpose and the owner keeps his end of the bargain so use it, or don't use it, as you see fit for your particular forum. I don't see any drama here.
