MikeyBBS is my forum software. I've been working on it on and off for the last six months. I'm looking for feedback on the design, mostly, but if you want to test out the features you're more than welcome to. I've tried to ensure that it has the same basic features as most of the free forum softwares out there.

That looks a lot like XenForo. Did you try to base the design of that?

Anyway, I think the design needs to be a bit more sleek and 'shiny' for want of a better word. Otherwsie, the software it self looks good.

Also, why not try to ensure it has the same basic features as most of the paid softwares out there. ;)

Looks very good, going very well! I do not like how the posts are justified to the left hand side though.

Good luck with it all, I will be certainly be watching this grow.

Same - I think posts should always be justified to the right, it makes it much easier and simpler to read in my opinion.

No, I didn't try to emulate XenForo. ;)

The plan is to try to get the featureset up to the same amount of features as the paid softwares but not as much as the bloat, I am only one developer after all ;) I figured I'd set myself the somewhat easier goal of the free softwares, first.

The topic view needs re-doing, it's designed originally for a much smaller layout (here's a pic of the old design).. thanks for the reminder :)
Simply re-aligning them won't work. ;) Right aligned at the moment would just look like this: 2011-12-16-15h39_03.png

The posts just need making wider :)

Thanks for the feedback so far.

I thought it looked like xenforo as well :p
Good luck on it Mikey, it's a big job to make your own software and support it. :)
I think I would of used another name though.. Calling it "mikeybbs" doesn't sound professional to me..
    ..Just me 2 cents

What's in a name? At least it can't be perceived as pretentious. I'm sure if I ever reach a stage where I can release it I'll name it something different.

I really can't see how it looks like xenforo but I'll take it as a compliment ;)

Well done on getting so far with your project. You've picked a market you're familiar with, so that will help, but I'd agree with others that it's similar to XF (although that might not be a bad thing in itself ;)).
