It reads like a money grab. vB5 is right around the corner and you'll have to repurchase anyhow. You're essentially buying a license that's only going to be a up to date for a few months. I'll wait for 5's pricing to come out.

Judging by the screenshots, I think vBulletin 5 is still a long ways off :(

    Once bitten, twice shy.

I would stay far, far away from this. It would not surprise me in the least if you pay this reduced fee and then 4 months later have to pony up for vb5.

As Dan said sounds like a new money grab to me.

Chances are it's going to come out as a slapped together product like 4 and only be half way decent by 5.1

I was seriously going to buy this then thought again. I am just going to wait till 5 comes out and buy a second licence.

It does say it's coming in 2012. However, it does seem like vB5 is going to either be delayed, or it's delayed.

I would not buy this the slightest, because if you buy it now with that reduced cost, and vB5 comes out in a few months or so, you end up paying for two products or end up wasting this "coupon."

And FYI to the OP, in the future, I would edit out the coupon code from the image or leave it out from the post itself. It will be taken in minutes of posting.

I think they sent the same ones to everyone, this is what I received as well.

In my opinion, I think this is just another way for vBulletin to maximize their sales before vB5 comes. I know many people that did not buy a vBulletin license and decided to wait until vBulletin 5 comes out.

They know people will want to wait so they are doing this to get more sales.
