Are they global? Do you let them have everything - all the options and tools? Or do you limit what they can do, for example not let them ban or perma-delete content?

And how much of your personal and business life do you share with them?

    Cheers,
    Shaun :D

Mods and supermods can do everything but perma delete posts.

Admins have all the same tools I do, except query running perms (on vB). My two co-admins don't do anything in the ACP except member management (user group moves) though they're able to.

After some 'rough' experiences with moderators, I am running my own show now. Should I need support, I'd have them move posts only into a category where I can then handle them. And no one but me will warn/ban. This way I can get help with the 'cleaning', but won't have my members banned with no reason or posts disappearing without me being able to review all the events

No permanent deletions for anybody other than me (although I don't do it). Supermods can mod any forum and mods can mod the forums they are assigned to.

Same here, but they can ban members. I have the power to over-write them though. Some of my moderators are global and moderate everything on the board.

Ditto to this (unless otherwise stated by the moderator / eg. they prefer moderating selected forums) ...
...besides taking the power of viewing IPs (@mods) since admins are the only users that can check for duplicate accounts within the ACP (with xenForo).

If the forum is big enough and staff are needed I'll setup moderators with limited access like killing spam, moderating forums (editing, moving, etc..). As well a super mod or admin to handle user accounts/merging threads across the forums.
I've always tried to keep a tight-knit group of staff members.
You are trusting them with your site, never let your guard down. ;)
