I use different ones on the forums that I'm a staff member on. On regular forums, I use the same password for all of them, though.

I use the same password on every site, but for adminbb, and my paypal/email I have long hard passwords set in place. I use the same passwords on the forums & sites I dont care about.

I have long and hard passwords for sites that are important to me - or I use a pw generator on forums that I'm apart of, like when you reset your password.

Different passwords for all online access is definitely the safest standard operation procedure. If one password gets compromised the others remain secure. Think how you'll feel if your username password gets out and you used it on 20 websites and your bank!

I have 6 different passwords I use for everything I do. I figured that was a safe number. That way they're easy to remember, yet at the same time, difficult for anyone to simply just guess crack their way into my stuff.

I use different passwords for most the forums and sites I go to.
Then I use separate passes for my bank and online stuff as well.

Ya, exactly. I remember when I got hacked years ago, I left a loophole in my email[I sent all my passwords on over to another email] and the hacker saw that. Ya, I lost that email account, but I'm a lot more secured these days and I don't send passwords through email anymore, and if my email account needs to be reset or something, then it sends a text to one of the cell phones in my house - which is real nice of Google to have!

Yes. Using a set of different passwords for different sites is a very good practice. I keep my very important/confidential sites such as Paypal and others, different passwords. Some forums I'll use the same password on but not too often. For more important sites though I ALWAYS make sure i use a different password that no one can figure out. :)

I use long and different passwords for most sites I use but sometime I use a shorter and the same pass on less important sites.

I use different passwords on all sites, like the one here its different, my 2 accounts on my forum is also different, another I admin also different, fb different, webhost accs different, twitter accounts differents, other forums different, e.t.c.
The problem is, I tend to mix a pword meant for a particular site for another.

I use different passwords for every site, currently using a Firefox add-on called Lastpass. Generates & stores random passwords for any site I use.

I'm the same was as you are Kaiser. I use the same or similar passwords on a lot of similar sites/forums, but I use unique ones for my own sites. If I were to always have a unique password everywhere I went, I'd end up with hundreds of passwords to remember. I wouldn't dare want to risk my own sites by being unsafe with a repeat one, though, either.

I was pretty lazy with this many years, but now I have separate passwords for most of my sites, separate passwords for the paypal account, emails etc. If one password is becoming corrupt, at least you can still rely on others. Not to mention that it's a very good idea to change them frequently, together with an active anti-virus, anti-malware software and some safe browsing.

I have several for those that are a one time thing accounts, those not that important accounts and the important ones. They range from weak in terms of password strength to very strong. I think if I create more different passwords for new accounts, I might forget them.

Since one of my accounts was compromised recently, I've started using different passwords for different sites, and have started phasing out my current username, replacing it with another username
