I remember when I was building more websites to make more money. I totally forgot to renew one of the domains I had called "Virtualwebgames.com". I also lost myspacehun.com because I got hacked, and the hacker tried to sell the site on Digitalpoint.. With all the content gone, I just let myspacehun.com go away because I couldn't re-build it from the ground up, and plus was dying then as Facebook was rising.

So, anyways, have you ever lost a domain name? What happened?

I've never lost a domain of mine.
I log into my NameCheap control panel every month to check if there's a notice for "expiring domains", ;)

I let go the ones that I never touched and keep the ones which I use or have plans for.

I lost the domain elite-funds.com to a scammer on digitalpoint, I was making about $100 a month with this site, and I sent him the domain before payment when he was suppose to buy the site from me. Lesson learned.

It's good to see you got VPL going good now, I use to be a member a couple years ago.

I lost my one forums domain webgoro.com back in 2007 when I canceled my 1&1 hosting account, the domain was locked and I couldn't get it back... Took many years for it to be held and finally the domain was dropped and I was able to rebuy it again. Needless to say, Namecheap is where I go for all of my domains now :)
