I don'y Really perform Post Exchanges in the native sense.
I usually get paid to post on forums as sort of an employee. I dont really have a forum of my own to exchange on. Either way, Forum posting is kind of an addiction to me.

I do realize these administrators have their lives of their own when not in front of a PC. That is why I just exchange post for up to 5 to 10 posts only a day. I sometimes caught some of them don't really post in my forum after I've posted in theirs, but it is still find for me as long as they don't delete my profile where my link is. Post exchange isn't just helpful to the forum but also to the poster's site thru backlink :D

Haha.I do the same thing when I do a post exchange, I include my forum's link and this place's link in my signature. I figure has long as post a few threads and posts on a site that I'm doing an exchange with, my links will show, and you never know its free marketing and works like a charm,

Unfortunately many sites do not allow members to have a signature until they have a certain number of posts.

Maybe I should just a bunch of forums and go crazy on the posting.
Do signatures count as a backlink?

I've had good experiences usually, if I might be busy I just let them know when I will have them done buy. If your forum has no posters at all, they can be a way to get activity. But also with post exchanges in the past I have had posters post the same exact topic, just changing one thing, and it was irrelevant to the forum.

Ya, and not to mention you sometimes come around good posters that will stick with the community. I don't care if your forum is new or not, sometimes its great to an added boast to your forum - by doing post exchanges.

Well it is possible. Takes alot of work, sometimes posting on dead forums is quite impossible, but you get around to it :)

I am sure that threads could be ok. Oh yeah, but another con about post exchanges is if people post in the off-topic section only, so I ask people not to post there when I do the exchange.

I've found this as well and would end up searching on the forums for topics I knew about and could add to the conversation. :)

Yes but usually your able to strike up some conversation as long as there are around 10 active members... I mean if its yourself on a forum your going to get nowhere

I don't mind doing post exchanges. As long as the person wanting the exchange does a good job with his half and their forum isn't super new or completely dead forcing me to start up new conversations for each post I have to make. Basically, if the forum doesn't look like it's gonna go anywhere, I really dislike doing exchanges with that type of forum because it just seems like it'll be dead sooner or later and that doing the exchange would be a waste of my time.

There's nothing wrong with them. Personally, I think they're a waste of time. I'd much rather just pay for posts. For example, you could make high quality posts, and then the person you're exchanging with joins your forum, and contributes with things like "yes, i agree" or something pointless like that.

That is the problem I get. especially at Cycling Forums. I am also of the poor grammar.

I do post exchanges most of the time and I don't have any problems with it.

Do you really believe post exchanges/packages really work.

I mean sure, they boost activity a bit, but in some cases, it does nothing but give you a member who only sticks around until the package is done..

Personally, I've ordered numerous post packages in the past from promotion forums and done a few post exchanges myself, but not much luck.
