What exactly do you have doubt about??

If this is about Admin Talk then we'll move it to feed back.
An answer to your question is simple.. Alexa is a joke ;)
but we have gone up 130% in the last 3 months.

Don't forget.. this domain is very new, our "Alexa" rank will improve over time.

Thanks for the info. As it has 40k post and 5k thread it is pretty busy forum.

But the alexa rank seems to be low. Thats why i asked it!!

The only way Alexa rank changes is if a lot of people use the Alexa toolbar on the site.

Install the alexa toolbar and help us out then ;)
I don't use alexa, I guess if I did, it would help out "rank".

The Alexa toolbar has no affect like that. My forum has dropped from around 500k to 383k in the past probably 10 days and I know a lot of my regular users and they don't use it.

EDIT: To clarify this is just about the toolbar I am not saying anything against Admin-Talk.

The only way a sites Alexa rank will increase is if it gets viewed by those who have the toolbar installed.

Err.. Why are we discussing something sooo useless to Admin-Talk that has absolutely no way of benefiting the forum?
It's just fancy numbers that some webmasters say "Ooo la la" too.

I have to agree with Brandon. It is rather pointless. If I wanted to I could go get a bunch of proxies and then fake some headers with a program and game up the alexa ranking very easily. You do not even need the toolbar. You just need the post back that the bar makes when you view a page :) Just saying.... Not that I would do that, because caring about Alexa is meh. Just like everyone caring about a listing in Dmoz. Then editors saw the market and starting taking bribes to list sites. Anything can be cheated
