Well, I keep my goals in my mind, and not release them to my community members - but one goal I have in mind is reaching 3,000 members, and 60k posts - hopefully by the end of the year, I can reach these goals, but we'll see.

Do you have any forum goals? What are they?

If creating a forum is a goal then yeah I do. And those goals are pretty reasonable. How many members and posts do you have just now?

Im sure you will reach those goals. At the moment I do not have any big goals except to have a active community and gain more regular members.

At this moment I don't have any set-in-stone goals. I'd like to see us gain more active members, but I don't have a specific number in mind or anything like that. Post wise, we recently hit a big post goal of 10,000 so I'm not sure as to what the next big number we're aiming for is yet--maybe 50,000.

I'm nearing my two forum goals though, not sure how long it'll take.

I also don't showcase my goals at forums,
But since you asked soooo nicely, it's to achieve 1,000,000 posts for my newest forum, ( there's no general chat forum, )

Why don't you have a general chat forum?

One - There's a point addon which I use at the forum with no feature to disallow gaining of points. ( members can "game" the system with one general chat forum and benefit from the reason why members want those points )
Two - I try to eliminate the "general chat forum" and make individual forums for the important topics while there's a live chat feature which can be used for members to communicate with each other.

Haha, the "best" one is going to be a LONG and CHALLENGING road for you my friend. ;)

Instead, why not try to be "one of the best" forums on your niche! That is my goal, maybe not so much as being the "best" but being one of the most "useful" forums of the niche it is in. I could care less about being the best, I'd rather see a person say "Shawn's forum is very useful forum to go to" :) That alone would make me happy :D
