So, 2011 was a nice year for a lot of sites/forums on the web, and really, was 2011 a great year for you in terms of revenue? Or did you just recently start making money online? I can honestly say that my revenue was pretty good, was able to pay the hosting bill for a few months ahead and such. I'm not sure if next year will be better or not, but I'm hoping as more people come to my community. And, do you have any revenue goals for 2012?
The only thing I received were two donations for supporter memberships, which is being used for site costs. As for future plans...I don't have any; revenue isn't one of my goals, to be honest.
Ya, my users sometimes donate as well. But, there's some months where one user only donates $5. I wish it was frequent revenue every month but it isn't. Good thing I also run adsense ads[I show more for guests]. @Brandon Well, I'm sure one of your plans for this year is to make more revenue huh? :p
Ha.. Yes that is a plan but not with ads or really anything on the forums. I setup an amazon shop blog last night on a subdomain for Admin-Talk.com. This will likely be my "money maker" for 2012. At least that is the plan right now. I just set it up last night to test a plugin out. It's all automated and will auto post a new sales item every 2 days. I just need to build tons of backlinks to it.. Which shouldn't be a problem
