How often do you put up a new skin/theme? We at Chatting Time have had our current theme up for almost a year, and personally, I'm getting bored with it and am ready for a change. As we speak I am trying to sweet talk my staff into having us get a new theme up, or better yet, finding someone who's good with customizing themes and have us make a customized one like Ash did for Entertainment Avenue. I just feel it's time for a change, and yes, we are starting to get complaints from enough members as well, so it's really time for an update. I don't really like the idea of having a design/feature freeze, to be honest. Actually, what I'd like to do is offer a small selection of themes to choose from. Really, no one has been coming on and posting lately, and it's obvious why: Because we haven't changed anything up for a while and I feel we are long overdue. So what about you guys?

Well, we're still running the default skin for vBulletin 4. If I had the money, I'd change the skin more often. Usually a small selection of themes keep members happy, so I'd recommend doing that as well.

I think that's what we're going to be looking at doing, although it's hard to say at this stage. We do got changes coming, but it's like all of a sudden I don't know details and it's my forum as well, lol. I suppose it's probably a good thing that everyone will be surprised, gives people less of a chance to spill any secrets I suppose.

I recently added 2 because a skin designer I know of had a $5 sale. They look pretty hot too. :P

I don't have PayPal, and even if I did, I don't usually trust buying things online as the Internet is full of scammers it seems like. But $5 for a custom theme seems pretty decent. Sounds like you got your money worth there! :)

Well, that's your issue to deal with. :P
    Never said it was custom.

I like it to be honest, I will use Chatting Time and register; I like the concept of the forum. I would usally change the skin every 5/6 months depending on the visitors I get.

I think annually changing your theme is a good idea.

That's pretty cheap. What skin designer was it?
