Wow, this is huge news for the internet world - especially domain registars.

What does everyone think about this news?

Wow I am not happy, thanks for posting this. AdminBB.org is registered there.. I just hope things stay at a stable pace like it has been because as we know when companies are acquired that doesn't happen..

Ya, hopefully they don't change anything, and keep the staff team that has kept Godaddy so strong oer the years. You're welcome.

I don't think they are going to have some big changes...

Wow, that's crazy. We all know what happens when any site goes under new ownership. Kaiser, if I were you, bud, I'd be saying a prayer that the domain will still be in tact and that you will still be able to pay up on it when the time comes. Who knows what these new guys are gonna be like.

I honestly believe you should do a domain transfer to another domain registrar, namecheap is best i believe. 1) Transfers in anything usually doesn't go as planned 2) Godaddy is already bad and transferring to new systems and etc will mean things will most likely break.

Don't get me wrong you might be in the percent that doesn't get effect, but still why hope? I'm just saying.

I made the switch years ago from Registerfly, but I wouldn't be suprised if others make the switch from Godaddy to namecheap in the future.

Highly unlikely that much will change as it's a massive company so if any changes were to happen, it would most likely happen slowly, although if the reports suggest that GoDaddy was in debt, I have two words for you all: Price Rises

 If the raise the price they will loss lot of customers due to other domain registers offering it for lower price.

I've never used them, but aren't domain extensions on GoDaddy already expensive as it is? If prices keep going up, and GoDaddy starts losing customers because of this, they could end up in debt faster than a person can blink I imagine. I've never done any research as to how much domains are on there, but I'm almost positive they aren't exactly cheap already. Not sure what it's like when they offer discounts or promotions though.

Good thing I switched to my own VPS :}, I hope nothing will happen to AdminBB but I strongly recommend JustHost or UK2 @Kaiser

I use Godaddy and I have to admit I am a little concerned, but I am going to wait and see what happens. Hopefully I don't regret my decision.

It's always best to wait as you never know what may happen, if you don't like what you see, then the answer is to switch and move elsewhere, etc.

I use godaddy too. I'm hoping this shan't affect too much, though I can't afford a hike in prices when there are other, much cheaper registrars out there.

I just sold my last domain in Godaddy a week ago. So, this makes no problem to me.

What do you mean by that? Would you care to elaborate a bit more by what you mean?
