Do You Try to Get to Know Your Members?

A community will feel more social if people know each other well. So, in order to active this social feel, do you try to make a good impression and connection with your members?

I really can't judge myself on this matter. But, I can say that I try to give my messages a touch of emotion and personality. I also do this when talking to members of my forum. It gives them a warm feeling in the inside if they feel that people like them.

 

If I like how the member acts and such, then yes. I usually try to get to know them and maybe start a friendship of sorts.

Yes that is one thing I always try to do. You have to make your members feel welcome in the community, and always try to communicate with them and get to know them better. I feel I have a strong connection with my members.. another reason for them always coming back and being apart on the community. The best way to get to know your members is through taking part with them in discussions.

 

Same here. I like asking them questions on threads, and also PM systems. My members know a whole lot about me because I've had some bad issues with my Health in the past, that made them become closer to me, and such. If you're a welcoming type of person, then you should tread your members with dignity, and get to know them more. I really think that members also want to know what's up with their owner, and how he/she is doing, thus, you create your relationship with your members. Just be friendly, and have time for your members.
