If you had to choose the Ultimate Forum Software, which one would it be, and why?

XenForo. Beats all paid and free versions. Its everything todays forum software should be. Its setting the roles for forum software of the future. Very advanced, very stable. Great Developers. Thats why im using it on AdminBB.

I have to agree with you. However, for free it would definitely be Phpbb. If i could afford it i would buy Xenforo

IPB has always been my favorite. It was what the first board I ever visited used and ever since I've gotten so used to it. The 3.2 version just came out and it looks fantastic.

I believe this would have to be Invision Power Board. I have used IPB for a few years now and it's just hands down great. Easy to use and navigate. ACP is pretty easy as well! Havent ever used xenforo other then as a member, so can't really speak for it.

My vote is for XenForo, its very modern, its simple to use and people love it. If you ask me XenForo makes owning/using forums fun again. :) The members of my community have paid me many compliments on the forum software.

Everybody is saying XenForo, and I definitely agree with that. It has some pretty sweet features, it's easy to navigate, and seems more modern than other softwares. If I had to pick a second, I'd say IPB. It beats XenForo in some ways (As to what I've seen, I like the IPB styles better), but IPB lacks easy navigation; it probably has the worst navigation of any forum software I have seen. And the best free one is phpBB in my opinion. I like the styles a bit more and I find that the ACP is quite easy to navigate.

Yes, you should for the sake of the discussion, as not everyone here may not have used vBulletin and be aware of what it is capable of...

If they do not know anything about vBulletin nor about Forum Software then why would they post in this thread?

I love vBulletin 3.8 because of its cool features and is a very advanced forum software with millions of plugins to install and skins.

They may post here because they may think another forum software they have used is the ultimate forum software, it's all about personal preference and a discussion about why we think it is the ultimate software, etc.
