I think all of us here know what autoblogging is. At one point in time, I also considered setting up autoblogs because I got attracted with different claims that it is really possible to make some money on autopilot using autoblogging system.

Now that Google is stretching its long arms to penalize and bury scraped contents, do you think we can consider autoblogging as dead or there will be a way to go around with the mighty paws of Panda?

Who knows really, from a guess as Google is constantly changing and adding news rules and what not, I would say auto blogging is doomed.

I've never even considered Autoblogging, but if I had, I certainly wouldn't do it now with panda in action. It's not worth it with the new algorithm.

Auto Blogging I think is a form of spam, so any blog articles/announcements, etc. I will write myself...however, I do have a few automated systems that will post the content links straight to facebook & twitter...is that auto blogging, or auto linking?

I'm the same way. I got into blogging to share my knowledge and not to scrape or steal articles from other sites for republication. If something needs to be posted on my blog, then I'll do all the writing.

I can't imagine doing otherwise. In my book, autoblogging is no good. Not to mention all those convoluted Google rules about duplicate content. When did anyone every think this was a good idea?

To me, autoblogging comes across as cheating and maybe even illegal, especially if a blogger is using the scraping technique or literally stealing material from another site.

Some sites even have a dire warning at the bottom that warns off scrapers, saying there will be a huge fine if the person is caught stealing site material. That should be enough to scare off autobloggers. You'd think so, but I guess it's not if autoblogging is still going on.

Just another example of a bunch of people buying into the notion of 'get rich quick with no work' scheme.

I'm glad that autoblogging is dead. Copied content should never succeed.

I wouldn't say it's dead, but not suggested.
It's rather hard to build traffic or consecutive visitors to a site full of copied content.
It can also be hard to get that content indexed, but anything is possible with the right backlinks. ;)

The original form of Auto Blogging is indeed dead. That was the ability to make blogs and fill them from RSS feeds in order to make money off the traffic. The thought was if I have 100 of them making a dollar a day I make 100 dollars. The first people who came up with this idea did that and made a good bit of money. Then poof. But there are still ways to do this if creative. But you are going to have to pay someone to blog and then that becomes a hassle. Done to death is the more correct term I would think :P
