Well, my former hosting provider, Hostpolar.com was hacked, and then the hackers turned and took my community, and hacked us. Thank god for backups, and having staff members that were able to snag a database, and full site backup of everything. But, I'm now going to be with Knownhost - how many people here use this hosting provider? My buddy told me that they're pretty good, so of course, we're going to use them. I believe my VPS is going to be $35/month including cpanel.

I've never really heard of them, if I'm being honest. From what I can gather from reviews though, they seem like quite a solid choice to make. I'd look around though and I'd try contacting them to trial their service - it's always worth doing so before making such a big decision in my opinion.

I've heard mixed reviews about them on WHT, although I would double check what price you will be paying as it seems things like cPanel, etc. is at an additional cost, and also that cPanel needs at least 512MB RAM to run smoothly so from: http://www.knownhost.com/vps_packages.html you'd probably be looking at $40/month for their VPS2 plan with cPanel included on your VPS.

I'm already paying for cpanel, its not $40/month for the VPS that I'm on.

I never heard of them, but I would recommend HawkHost unless its too late. And I am sorry to hear about that. Most of the time a site gets hacked is because of poor security from the host, and nothing to do with the script being used.

I have used them in the past and never had a problem. They are pretty well known on http://www.webhostingtalk.com if your looking for some reviews.

I just upgraded the ram, so I'm paying $42/month for the VPS. Its fine for now as I have the money, but I might be looking for a cheaper host, and reliable in the next few weeks or so.
@Kaiser that's exactly what happened. Hostpolar was rooted, and then my site got hacked.

Thanks bro. :) It's a shame my old host was hacked, but hey, things happen. If you're not secured, customers shouldn't be at fault for leaving.

No, they didn't. And I didn't pay that month's bill because of the hack.
