Whats the reason behind you liking forums, and foruming?

I don't enjoy foruming as much as I used to BUT it's a great way to meet new people

I got sick of bumping into the same people and posting the same old stuff over and over again. I'm more of a tech admin these days than a posting admin

I guess I simply enjoy meeting new people and participating in stimulating discussions. Although I gotta side with Ash on one thing: It can get kind of old to be running into the same members and posting the same things all the time. But I enjoy foruming in general for the social interaction end of things.

I also enjoy sharing ideas with others, and getting to know people. I also enjoy reading things, and discussing things with my members, or other members.

Same here carlos, meeting and making new friends online and sharing ideas and knowledge is a reason I like forums. They keep you busy.

It's quite a lot of fun to have a 'job' and to meet a ton of people, basically creating your own internet social circle, all within the space of an awesome forum with great software.

I agree. I've been a huge fan of online communities since 2004 - its great to find new people, and also learn new things. Forum running is great, especially if you become a part of a great community, and meet all the nice/friendly people.

It's kind of like a public, online Socratic Seminar.

Forums have always fascinated me and I have made a number of friends online that I can talk to over instant messengers.
I also have forums to thank for helping me to develop an interest and develop my skills in graphic and web design. It has always been a convenience to be able to view tutorials, communicate with others who have the same interests and ask for support when required.

Yes indeed, you can find very friendly and helpful people online and specially on forums. I too have come across many kind and helpful people. The reason I run AdminBB is to help other Admins ;)
