I like the color scheme. They're some rather "unpopular" colors and they mostly work well together as you can actually see each distinct color. Some could possibly do with some tweaking, but it doesn't look bad as it is. The banner is way too big though. It might just be my netbook, but I can only see "That's L" and the rest get's cut off. Hope this helps ^^

Not bad at all for a first theme. If you keep practicing you will improve. :)

So proboards uses HTML basically? CSS is pretty easy, you will get the hang of it.

Oh okay, and I do see why it uses html mainly for skinning, thats why most probaords have a very basic look and feel and you can tell its mostly html.

SMF has some great designs, specially with 2.0.

Looks good for a first timer. Looks a little plain though, thats maybe what you were aiming for, i'm not sure. But I would prefer a theme which has a little more on it, but thats just my opinion. Keep up the good work though!

Remember, create the themes to suit you. I prefer a theme with more in it, but you may prefer a theme which is more plain. Its all upto you. But its good work.

Very nice! I can't criticize cause I don't know the first thing about modifying an SMF template to that degree, though I use the SMF software.

Though I have made minor changes to one SMF theme.

I swapped out the main background on another SMF template (NueBlue by Crip). I didn't like the checkered background.

And, tweaking the .png file on Paint was no big deal. I made the checked background deep blue and liked the results better. Anyway, I uploaded the changed graphic and it looked perfect in test runs.

Then about two hours later, I was browsing for more SMF themes and came across ANOTHER Crip SMF theme that had the exact same color background with the EXACT same theme I was using. Same theme, different background. Looked just like the one I had spent half an hour tweaking.

    :P

Could have saved myself some trouble.

But, it was fun learning how to swap out that one background element.

Next time, I need a pure white background or other color to go under the forum table, I will know how to do that for myself and won't have to pay someone for the work.

Anyway, nice template. Like everyone said, just keep practicing. My first blog template took forever to design. Now I use a standard template and it goes much quicker.

Best of luck with your designs.
