Anyone used Mailchimp to send out newsletters? There's apparently a way to make it imitate your site's design, but I couldn't get it to work with my XF forum, so I'd love to know if anyone else here did.

I thought about trying it, what exactly does it do? Its sends out emails, and replaces the default email system?

Not sure what you mean about replacing the default email system; you can send out newsletters with it to deliver site news and updates (http://bcove.me/mh5cold3), and it's supposed to create a template based on your site design. I tried before, but it didn't work, so I was hoping to see if any of you had tried.

Oh, I see what you are saying. I will give it a try once I am free. The thing I dont like is its not fully free, but for a certain number of emails only.

I wouldn't have more than 2,000 subscribers nor would I break the 12,000-count send limit anytime soon, so that's not much of an issue for me.
