I know I start to hire new moderators/staff members as soon as my community needs it - and we need an extra boast to run the community, and to keep spam out. So, it all depends on our activity and what not. So, when do you think new staff members should be hired?
I think new staff members should be hired when your forum is very active and you cant keep up with the new posts being created and/or be online at certain times. The staff AdminBB has now I think is enough.
Simple Answer: When you feel the need to hire one e.g. when your forum is getting extremely busy, when you are planning a holiday or just need a break, etc.
I agree with Ashley.S.; only add 'em when you need 'em. I wouldn't use a number system as benchmarks to add staff members...instead, see when there's too much to be moderated for your current staff group and add as necessary when the time comes.
Yea I agree.. there is no certain number requirements when to add staff. The Admin knows when he needs staff and should hire when the forum really could use an extra hand.
I think I'm a good prime example of that here I joined as a member, got promoted soon after, and then promoted again during Kasier's absence
