I've just (right now) signed up to Bidvertiser and the ad is on http://www.fudgepromotion.com 's homepage.
Does Google Adsense pay more? Or somewhere else?
Do you know of any other ways to earn money?

    Thanks :)

forumotion.com dosent allow users to place ads on their forums, so your forum might get deleted if you do so. But im not sure check their TOS.

To be able to get paid by them you have to give them your Social Security Number, atleast thats the requirement for US citizens, it might be different for you since you live in UK, so check with Bidvertiser. And as a ad service they arent too good, Google adsense and Adbrite are the top two.

    I don't think it's against the rules.
But I've signed up with bidvertiser and placed a ad, so maybe that's less fuss.

    How you get money
Each time someone see's an attractive ad, they click on it, and everytime you click on it you get paid a small amount, it depends on how much people go on your site, and click on the ads, in the end of the month/year you collect your money through via paypal or credit card.

Project Wonderful is another site that I've seen many sites use.

I'd honestly say that Adbrite is the best, I've ran a small website using that and generated quite a bit of income

I heard that they had no terms of service, therefore they could do anything to your account and you would'nt be able to do anything about it, etc.

If you are running a forum that gets a lot of hits then I'd suggest joining a CPM ad network like Smowtion. I'm not fan of Bidvertiser as they pick and choose which clicks they honour and a lot of their ads are not related to your topic. Adsense will display ads related to what your forum is about (most of the time).

When I ran a football (soocer) forum I tried affiliate marketing. I'd display ads offering football shirts, football tickets, computer games, football betting, etc. :)
