If they did do it, they would probably split the features in half and have vBulletin Lite & vBulletin Pro or something, that's usually how software developers do it.

It kind of annoys me when software developers do that, you either offer it or you don't...simple as that

why do you say that? Personally I would find it useless if they released lite and all the good features were in the pro version...

because trials dont work out as well, trust me vbulletin would get more customers if they relate to it as v3.8

Well seeing as I'm using a free forum I'd use it if it were free. I do however dislike Vb4. I've never owned it but my experience as a member says otherwise. My favorite as to me Vb3.6-3.8 amazing software at those times. I hated it before and I hate after that. Vb needs to fix things because Xenoforo is looking to take over as the best and you don't want to be slacking off when that's going on.

Well said blazing blue.. I agree with you 100% vBulletin needs to start acting serious because xenforo can cause some serious damage to them.

Oh I think they are very aware of what XenForo could become. You need to look at nothing but the lawsuits to figure that out. They tried to stop XenForo before they even released the first beta. Be afraid vB, be very afraid. :p

I still run one site with it. It fits the purpose there but to be honest, I would rather pay 140$ for a license of xf before running it elsewhere for free. Two of my sites are on xenforo and when I browse a VB site now, it seems clunky and cluttered.
