Although not clinically diagnosed, I do believe I have OCPD. I meet at least five of eight diagnostic criteria for the disorder (four are required for diagnosis), according to the DSM.

Severe Clinical Depression, Anxiety Disorder, and now because of a med that I've been taking for almost four years I believe that I've actually become what that med is supposed to prevent...Psychotic. :(

Don't ever let me not take that med!

    I don't suffer.......

However, I am diagnosed with Clinical Depression, Attention Deficit Disorder, Panic/Anxiety disorder.
I don't take meds for the ADD, but I am on meds for the other two.

Even tho you didn't ask, I'll volunteer it anyway -
my son is diagnosed with ADHD, Asperger Syndrome (a form of autism), severe Anxiety disorder (SAD), Sensory Integration Disorder (SID), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and numerous other disorders. Now HE suffers.

Hence the purpose of my website.

Well even though I have not yet been to the doctor for it, I swear I've got some type of short term memory loss. I can not remember the smallest things or the biggest, they just slip my mind so fast. I'll do or say something, and 10 seconds later I'll had forgotten was I just had did or said. It's annoying... and random to.

I have a slight (undiagnosed) case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Although not online, many people offline tell me I have it because I come across as "too perfect."

I don't consider I have any disease, but I do get kind of distracted online, and I've had a horrible memory this year :O (it used to be better, but it sucks now)

What kind of obsessions or compulsions do you experience? Any 'counting' or 'checking' compulsions?

I think you are confusing OCD with OCPD, based on your description. ;)

I have that too. In my case, it's called adult onset attention deficit disorder (ADD) - and getting old. ;)

    According to the DSM:

    OCD:
    OCPD:
If you've ever seen the movie Matchstick Men, Nicholas Cage plays a character who suffers from OCD - he has to shut the door three times, has to lock it three times, etc. (This is a counting compulsion). He also ensures his carpet is free of any visible particles, dirt dust, etc. and goes crazy when somebody steps on the carpet with shoes. (This is a checking compulsion).

    Hope this helps. :)

Okay, keep up here. I have, and have had for most of my adult life:

Anklyosing Spondilytis (a degenerative form of rheumatoid arthritis that effects mainly the back but lately has been showing up in my wrists and ankles), Crohn's Disease and rampant kidney stones.

The big kicker is I've just recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer. I think my days online are drawing to a close soon as I begin the cancer treatments.

Oh, and about forgot, when I was 18 I fell onto a running chainsaw and cut my left hand off through the palm. Still have a thumb on that hand but it doesn't do one much good by itself

Hmmm...now that I look at the thread title, I don't guess any of my problems could be classified as "disorders".
