What's your favorite vBulletin feature and why?

My most favorite vBulletin feature would be the groups, that is one awesome feature all the other forum software lack.. that's the only thing about vB that I like and miss.

I think the feature I miss the most from VB would be the Topic only visible to OP feature as the phpBB3 version is buggy :(

I think I know what you mean, MyBB has that by default where someone can make a thread in a certain section where it will only be view able to the OP and staff members. (You can have it set for which groups you want to allow to view the threads.

Vistitor messaging. I've always been a fan of this feature.

And not to mention the tagging feature that's available as a plugin for vBulletin. And also the "thanks" mod.

I loved the visitor messaging feature,
It stood out when I made the switch from phpBB to vB.

I'm curious. Couldn't that behavior be achieved using forum/group permissions? I've never tried it but it seems like you could make it work.

I can't wait to see the day that vBulletin implements a tagging/alerts system - instead of having to use a mod to do this for you.

Yes if the software supports posted topics only being viewable to the poster, but phpBB3 for example does not support that without a buggy mod which is why I missed it when I went from VB back to phpBB3 many many months ago.

There was a lot I liked about phbb3 and mybb (the best was the price!) I always thought that vbulletin was very professional software and seem to have some great features so I bought a license. It has been good and bad and I'm still not quite sure if it was money well spent.
