What are the tools to add up forum network stats?

If you go to many forum media companies, they have on their sites a tool that shows how many total posts, members, etc they have in their network.

Is there a tool that does this automatically, or do they modify it daily by hand?

Especially the ones that show the total forum visits and pages views for the day.
